The World Ship Society’s monthly journal ‘Marine News’ has been the enthusiast’s best source of shipping news for over 75 years. It is available to members as a PDF delivered by e-mail. The digital version of ‘Marine News’ is included with annual membership, and a paper version continues to be available for an extra subscription.
The magazine comprises two sections. The front half contains society news, regular news on the naval and commercial sectors, and feature articles. Recent features have included ship designers and builder, reports about vessel casualties, vessel histories, and state-of-the-art in maritime technology. In the back half of the journal contains details of new ships, vessels that have been sold or renamed, casualties, and demolitions. Both halves of the journal are richly illustrated with photographs drawn from our library of over 500,000 ship photographs.
